The Tower & The Star: Co-Creating with Spirit
2 minute read
When you're creating and strategizing from a place of logic, everything seems to make sense. There's a satisfying certainty to it, “this must be right”. So you keep going. You build the plan, follow the framework, and check all the boxes (dopamine rush!).
Then comes the advice that there’s a right way and a wrong way to do things. You’re told, “do it this way and your website will start converting visitors into paying clients.” Sounds reasonable, even hopeful. And with bills, bills, bills, of course you want results.
But suddenly, your business starts to feel like a lime green jello mold on a toothpick, wobbly AF. And then SPLAT. The Tower moment.
WTF I was doing everything right… right?
Here’s what’s up: Logic isn’t bad, it’s just not the whole story.
Because while you were building according to the “rules,” you weren’t co-creating with Spirit (I’m using “Spirit” as an interchangeable word for Source, Universe, Creator, Divine spark, higher power, etc.).
When we aren’t co-creating, we’re often creating from urgency, scarcity, and comparison. We try to recreate what someone else did because it worked for them. But that’s their foundation, not ours. And if their foundation is built on heteronormative patriarchal beliefs, hustle mentality, or bro marketing formulas, then ours ends up wobbly AF.
This is why things start to feel off. Why the website looks good but doesn’t feel aligned. Why the biz gets traction but feels challenging to sustain. It’s not that you did something wrong, it’s that you weren’t co-creating with Spirit coupled with logic.
I read and hear often that there’s a right way to build a website and there are a thousand wrong ways to build a site, the same goes for building a biz. To be honest, some of these annoy me. Because I’ve tried to do it the “right” way. And while some of it was helpful, none of it felt like mine, until I started co-creating with Spirit.
When we create from a place of deep listening and alignment, when we let Spirit into the process, we tap into a well of inspiration and clarity that logic alone can’t provide. It’s a shift from “how do I do this right?” to “what wants to come through me and how can I honor it?”.
It’s not about abandoning strategy. It’s about weaving it with soul.
Spirit brings vision. It reminds us that we’re here to create something unique, something sacred, something that serves and uplifts others, not just converts.
And in that co-creation, we find our foundation: a grounded, intuitive structure that can hold the fullness of what we’re here to do.
In Tarot, The Tower is destruction, but it’s also truth. It strips away everything that’s not real so that The Star can emerge: hope, faith, clarity, and divine guidance.
When we co-create with Spirit, we become the channel, not the sole architect. We surrender control without losing power. We build with intention, trust, and soul.
And I think this is the only way.
Stay weird <3
